What are some suggestions for coping with stress over exam periods?

I had my first exam today but Ive already been getting constant headaches and have had loss of sleep. I'm quite worried about loosing sleep because I have to be up early for some exams coming up and i havent been able to fall asleep until about 3 in the morning (getting worse) when getting into bed at about 11. The headaches are making me dizzy and i guess are borderline migranes. I need to study but cant concentrate when studying making me even more stressed.

Try to get enough sleep each night. Stop revising at around 8:30pm and take a shower, go to bed relatively early and sleep well.

Don't do any revising on Friday nights and leave the best part of either saturday or sunday to do something you enjoy (with friends etc.), but do a little bit of revision on that day.

Do your revision in chunks as well, 20 minutes at a time then take a break, get a drink and rest.

As for the migraine headaches, drink lots and if you get them, stop reading whatever you are reading or doing whatever you are doing and take a rest, sleep for half an hour or so if you have to.

One final thing, make sure that you eat, drink and exercise properly during your exams. This will keep you healthy and can only be beneficial for your stress levels.
