Does jogging daily significantly reduce anxiety and physical tension?
I've tried weight training and it doesn't change anything for me. i haven't yet tried jogging, but how long would it take to start working or before i'd start seeing improvements? i'm scared because i get frequent hyperventilation and have constant chest palpitations, but i've tried a number of medications to no success.
Jogging isn't the only form of cardio out there. You could always try the elliptical, which may be easier on your breathing, biking, swimming. You need to do what is enjoyable to you. If it's not, you won't stick with it.
Any form of exercise will release endorphins which will make you feel less stressed and anxious. Talking as little as 10 minutes a day to go on a walk can help release tension as well.
As for how long it would take for you to feel better, it could be as little as a few days! Just keep with it!
