Body Shop

You do not want to fool around when choosing a mechanic for your car. Keep an ear open for recommendations and warnings when your friends and family have car problems. If you know beforehand of a body shop you feel comfortable, not necessary to make a hasty decision or incomplete, when needed.

Ask friends and associates for their recommendations. I stay in touch with the families of homeschooling. They are often part of a larger group great that they can share recommendations for mechanics who have felt they were honest and reputable.

Check with your local Better Business Bureau in relation with the reputation of a particular body shop. Ask about the number of complaints, if any, and how complaints were resolved. Do not be too anxious if there are any grievances. No one pleases everybody, and there are some people who can not satisfy no matter what. But if you see a pattern of the same types of problems, beware.

Next, a visit to the store and ask if they handle your vehicle make and model. Check to see how long they've been in business. What kind of feeling that get on the site? Are you treated with courtesy? Does the staff behave professionally?

You do not need white glove test site, but must be clean and organized. Moreover, times are a Changin, and modern equipment is an absolute necessity.

Sometimes, the vehicle manufacturers recommended procedures Repair and specific tools to repair their vehicles. Ask if the shop is trained in these procedures and has the necessary equipment.

Are there any community service and civic awards on the walls? This is a nice touch. Do you see diplomas or certificates of competence? Do you want a technical staff competent.

Look around the place. What types of vehicles appear to be in the repair phase? It looks like everything is being handled professionally? Do not be shy in talking to people in the waiting room to see who have tried the shop before and how they are happy with the service they received in the past.

My number one suggestion is to ask around and see where others have had satisfactory car repair work. Even if you feel stressed and hurry, ask at least 15 people. Thus, it is likely to get the same place mentioned more than once. A little time spent on the basics can save a lot of trouble in the long term. And once you find mechanic you trust, your future car looks much brighter.
