What are some suggestions for coping with stress over exam periods?

I had my first exam today but Ive already been getting constant headaches and have had loss of sleep. I'm quite worried about loosing sleep because I have to be up early for some exams coming up and i havent been able to fall asleep until about 3 in the morning (getting worse) when getting into bed at about 11. The headaches are making me dizzy and i guess are borderline migranes. I need to study but cant concentrate when studying making me even more stressed.

Try to get enough sleep each night. Stop revising at around 8:30pm and take a shower, go to bed relatively early and sleep well.

Don't do any revising on Friday nights and leave the best part of either saturday or sunday to do something you enjoy (with friends etc.), but do a little bit of revision on that day.

Do your revision in chunks as well, 20 minutes at a time then take a break, get a drink and rest.

As for the migraine headaches, drink lots and if you get them, stop reading whatever you are reading or doing whatever you are doing and take a rest, sleep for half an hour or so if you have to.

One final thing, make sure that you eat, drink and exercise properly during your exams. This will keep you healthy and can only be beneficial for your stress levels.

When they are angry they vent it with to other people or to doing things that might be harmful to them. Expressing oneself as a means of coping with stress can be through creative means. Talking, crying, laughing are just some of the ways that can help eliminate stress in our system. When you feel that you beginning to feel the effects of stress, it's about time to talk to your friends or watching simple comedy flick will help do the trick.

Enjoy a hobby- one way of relieving stress is getting our mind away from it. It can be done in many different ways, one of which is engaging in a productive hobby like gardening for instance. There are other kinds of hobby to get busy with, choose the one that will make you truly enjoy and stress-free.

These are just some of the techniques that can help us get started. Learning new one will naturally come along the way as we encounter yet another type of stress.

Are you dealing with STRESS or ANXIETY in today's world, if so how are you coping with this problem ?

Or have you been dealing with these issues lately. A lot of people
have been stressed out lately. And some of them are dealing with
anxiety, and depression. I know that many of you have lost your
jobs, homes, cars, family members, and more. Some of you
are dealing with divorce, and other personal issues. There has
been so much negativity in the air lately due to these unforseen
circumstances. Break ups, bad habits, sickness, you name it I
am seeing it as we speak. You have that dead weight on your shoulders, or that black cloud over
your head, or that burden you cant seem to shake. Many have even left Yahoo Answers because of the pressure of life. However, some days
are better than others. Does anyone here know what I am talking
about ? How are you coping with stress in today's world..........

I'm dealing with stress by avoiding it right now, which is counterproductive but eh, I'll work through it and catch up on everything I've been slacking off on, I always do =o)
