Leaf Essential

Tea bags are essentially a 20th century invention, although it did not take off in a big way to Tetley, the tea company United Kingdom, popularized the tea bag paper in the 1950s. The tea bag is gradually changing the way they drank tea in the UK, tea is became an instant drink - put the bag in the cup, add boiling water, a couple of moves, with the bag, Add milk and about thirty seconds after boiling boiler - a nice cup of tea.

Or not? It's refreshing enough, but that is all that is is simply a drink. Millions of people are blissfully unaware of the true potential of tea, a potential that is lost when using a commercial tea bag. For starters, the taste, then there is the aroma. Even green tea commercial tea bags have a neutral, smooth, even taste and aroma. He even suggested that the contents of shopping bags are the 'Fanning 'or waste material from the processing of tea leaf high. Compare the taste and smell of green tea made use of leaflets and a tea bag - poles apart. The truth is that tea commercial tea bags tastes more or less the same, whatever, black, white, green ...

The problem is that the tea bags is powder, or if not, is ground into very small pieces. It has to be. The tea bag is a restricted area so that water can not flow very well, so that the flavors and aromas not removed efficiently. When something is finely crushed and provides a large surface to air and oxidizes so quickly. Even the anti-oxidants oxidize! In other words, it is obsolete by the time you try it! So you're a loser - the taste is poor and any kindness that contains the tea will be significantly reduced too. With loose-leaf tea, the leaf is left whole, so that the oxidation process is much slower than the air does not reach the center of the sheet. Thus, tea leaf stay fresher, retaining its flavor and aroma longer and also keeping their beneficial chemicals longer.

So why most people drink this tea inferior? Habit? Convenience? Price? It can not be bothered with the 'FAFF' making the tea leaves? The answer is probably yes to all that. It could also be said to match the fast pace of modern life. We want things fast. In the east, the tea ceremonies to the extreme slowness of the adoption, but at least recognize that drinking tea involves all the senses. Watching the leaves unfold in the bottom of the cup, smell the aroma, the strong and distinctive flavor, not to mention the well documented health issues.

If you do not try loose tea, which certainly not lost, the question is, can you open your mind (and palate and nose) to experience the real world of tea?
