Hello readers! I am 25weeks and a couple of days along in my pregnany. I know when your pregnant your emotions are more intense, so I need some tips on how to calm down. I am easily worried, and quick to have a short temper. What do you suggest?

I'm with vallyvgal on this one. Let me preface this by saying I was on medication for depression and anxiety before I got pregnant. I have since weaned off for the health of the baby. Needless to say my mental health issues compounded with hormonal emotions is not a good combination! I find that practicing yoga 2-3 times a week really helps me to find my center and focus again. I feel really good for the rest of the day and the breathing exercises I've learned come in handy during other moments when I'm not practicing yoga. You can find pregnancy yoga classes in your area. But if you're like me and prefer working out solo I highly recommend Shiva Rhea's pregnancy yoga video (you can find it on amazon.com). It's only about $15-20 and well worth it!

Another suggestion I have (if you can afford it) is to go in for monthly massage appointments. Be sure to tell them your pregnant so they can set up a pregnancy table for you (it just has a hole in it for your growing belly so it's not as uncomfortable lying on your stomach.) Just spending that one hour a month on myself has made a tremendous difference. When I'm done my muscles are relaxed as well as my mind. (which is always good for the baby!)

Good luck and congratulatons!
