Musicians that do charity work?
I have a project for english class where i need to find a hero, i love music and one day id like to join the peace corpse,
I listen to everything, and i mean it.but
i was just wondering if musicians like coldplay, kanye west,common,Damien marley,Jack johnson, lupe fiasco,Radiohead, red hot chili peppers,the shins, have done any charity work, benefit concerts, or belong to any organizations, you know anything that helps people out,
i know wyclef jean has a storm relief fund program,something like that would be great.
i cant stress enough that im open to all types of music, so any suggestions are appreciated. thanks :]

Coldplay teamed up with REM’s Michael Stipe for a charity single to continue aid for Hurricane Katrina victims; proceeds benefit Mercy Corps. The CD, In the Sun, is available for purchase on iTunes.
The band donated items for an auction benefiting Cancer Active.
They are huge supporters of Amnesty International.
They were filmed for Make Poverty History’s Click campaign.
The band asks that any gifts intended for them are donated to charity.

Running. Stress relief? Other benefits?
I've been very stressed lately and have taken to eating a snack when I feel overwhelmed.
I want to relieve some of this stress and was thinking that running may help?
I was planning on getting together with a friend and just running a mile or two daily in order to help with stress and with getting in better shape.
Any advice? Tips? Better ideas?

i also have alot of stress you can lay outside on a hot day or Sleep or if you do crunches it will like melt a way...hopes this helps

What medications would be good for depression, anxiety, insomnia, stress relief?
This is a high stress time. I've been diagnosed as depressed. Insomnia is really bad, to the point I dread going to bed. As soon as my head hits the pillow, my mind goes into high gear. Although I have a hard time losing weight normally, I've been dropping weight like you wouldn't believe. Has anyone taken medications for problems like this, & was it effective? I finally got an appointment with the doctor this Friday. I'd appreciate recommendations from anyone. Thank you!
My recommendation is to trust your Dr.
Depression can have a whole list of symptoms, including,
stressed-out, insomnia, racing thoughts, weight gain or loss, anxiety........and a number of others.
Often a best approach is to participate in both medication therapy AND Counseling therapy. You can address the body with meds appropriate to your body. And, you can address the stress you deal with by learning new ways of thinking, planning and dealing with it.

What are some good places to go shooting around Sacramento, CA?
I don't like how crowded the ranges get; Plus, sometimes the "One well-aimed shot every 3 seconds" kind of negates the 'stress relief through firing 10 rounds in 4 seconds' concept of trigger therapy! Any good rural locales, within +/-40 miles of the Sac Metro Area, that are accessible by a 1991 Ford Taurus?
