Oils Thieves

Cold season is upon us and no one knows better than me what can affect a person. You see, I teach elementary school and spend the winter cleaning runny nose of my students. One day, they'll have the art of covering your mouth when you cough, but for now, remains a work in progress.

Let's face it, you know when will you get sick. If you are in tune with your body, you know the day before, or no later than the morning of a cold start. You are not still really sore, but you do not feel well. Maybe you just do not think a good night's rest. But then you notice that your throat feels a sense of tickling. That's what you first notice. My throat feels just a little scratched, but not so much that I can not ignore that if I am in the morning rush to get to work time.

The thing is that when it comes to fighting a cold, time is the most important factor. If I hit hard as soon as I realize that is over me, I can avoid getting sick. If I wait until evening or the next day, while I will not get an irrepressible 4-7 days long illness, which may feel dizzy, not-quite-100% and feeling.

What should I do to avoid a cold? I'll tell you. First, I take an extra 2000 mg of vitamin C increase my immune system. Then rub a drop or two of therapeutic quality essential oils of lavender, lemon and rosemary on the side of my neck. Lavender oil has shown that antimicrobials (Larrondo JV, et al. "Antimicrobial activity of essences from the lips." Microbes. 1995; 82 (332) :171-2.) According to Jean Valnet, MD, lemon oil can kill bacteria pneumococcus within three hours. It is anti-infective and antiviral. Acts such as rosemary oil is an expectorant and mucolytic (breaks the mucus) properties. It is also antibacterial.

The last thing you do is rub a few drops of oil thieves youth living in my feet. This mixing was found to have a 99.96% kill rate against bacteria in the air during the test of Weber State University for its antimicrobial properties.

My recipe for avoiding colds:

2000 mg of vitamin C

1-2 drops of lavender oil

1-2 drops lemon oil

1-2 drops of rosemary oil

Rub oil on the sides of the throat.

3-5 drops Thieves (per foot)

Rub the bottom of the foot, focusing in the ball of the foot,
where Vita Flex points for the lungs.

Happy healthy life during the cold season!
