UPS Full Time Managment?
Ok I am a part time supervisor at UPS. My job is very stressful, some days I am burnt out from it. UPS is going to send me off to driving, with the option to come back as a full time supervisor. I seen first hand how full time supervisors in my building, how stressed out they are. I know its good money but I am thinking that maybe I should just stay a driver. Anyone out there who is a full time supervisor at UPS, can tell me as far as a full time supervisor in OPERATIONS, the basic low down of full time management. Do you regret going into it, that you wish you woulda stayed a driver and be less stressful?
UPS blows, I worked for them and then for FedEx - go with FedEx for management or driving. The money is in the driving though - at FedEx the drivers are contract, not employees and you can buy one route per year if it becomes available. My brother is still with them and he said one of his guys has 6 routes and only drives one of them himself - the guy pulls in fat cash just to drive a route and hires out the others. At UPS, you are an employee and they provide everything, but you are on a salary
and can not get extra routes. FedEx moved me up quickly in management when I worked for them - UPS moved me to a busier belt to take advantage of my quick loading, but never a raise or thanks.
Just my opinion, but I found FedEx to be much better
